We are soon to depart Addis

It gives me that feeling I, Kent, call melenhappy. Little happy, little sad. It has been a wonderful time. Not only have we gotten to bring a wonderful little girl into our lives, but we have also gotten to know a beautiful, yet heartbreaking, country. I not only have pride in my new daughter, but also in the new country that I have been introduced to and will always be part of my life.

We will leave the guesthouse in half an hour and be in Minneapolis/St. Paul Saturday around 4 p.m. Wish us luck on the journey and we will update soon. We have tons of pictures and more stories to share.

Thank you again for your love and support.

Stephen shared the link to your blog. I'm very happy for you both! It looks like an exhilarating experience on many levels. I hope you have (had) a safe trip home and look forward to meeting Ella.

I am glad I finally was able to read this. I have been thinking and praying for all you, esp. your little one's birth mother and family...I am very comforted to know that you met her birth mother and have made the commitment to keep Ella's personal history and connections open-it is a win/win experience for all-and what love-to love a child enough to let her go...there are few who understand the depth of love...

Can't wait till to see you all-what a wonderful Christmas gift to us all!

HUGS,

Auntie Ruthie

Kent, Julia and Emma,

This is my second try at leaving a message. Hopefully the first one didn't go through so you don't get a duplicate but it was so good when I wrote it I didn't want to lose it-you know how I am Julia.:-)

Thank you so much for sharing your journey with me (us). This is the first time I met/saw Kent. Emma is a beautiful little girl. Seems like a perfect fit:-). I am so thrilled for you all!

I trust you got home safe and sound and are settling in. I look forward to visiting with you when you are ready for company, so let me know.

Until then, take care, Merry Christmas and God Bless.

Marjorie
