Ella told her first joke today at the table. She's been giving the set ups but not the punchline until this morning at breakfast. Here goes: Why do girafes have trophies? Punchline: Girafes don't have hands.
Our child is French. That's peanut butter from a Nutty Bar on her nose.

Hey! This is Kay Woods. Are you there? Have not checked on Ella for a loooong time but here we go and what fun! Would love to hear from you, even a short note, at dustwoods@sbcglobal.net
Two first-time parents, late 30s-early40s. One toddler. One dog. One job. Deep, calming breaths, everyone.
Our daughter Ella is a native of Ethiopia, brought home in December '06 through CHSFS (www.chsfs.org) in St. Paul. This blog chronicles our experiences of adoption and parenthood, beginning with our first post, 9/17/06, on the eve of receiving our referral. Here's a sample post Julia did late one night in ET. http://addisababy.blogspot.com/2006/12/id-lend-you-blanket-but-it-probably.html
